Karma stays free for up to 10 users
Karma has recently transitioned to a paid app; however, it remains free for teams of up to 10 users. If your Confluence instance has less than 10 users, you still need to upgrade to a free licensed version to ensure you receive bug fixes, security updates, and new product features!
Why Do I Need to Take Action?
Due to the changes in Atlassian’s licensing engine, Karma now has licensing information linked to the app. To access new product features, security updates, and bug fixes, you must upgrade to a licensed version. This licensed version is completely free for up to 10 users.
How Much Time Do I Have to Upgrade?
You can upgrade for free until June 16th. After this date, support for Karma’s unlicensed version will cease. We recommend upgrading as soon as possible.
How Do I Get a Free License?
As an admin, you can upgrade from no license to a free license by following these steps:
Navigate to Administration → Manage Apps.
Locate the Karma entry and click on “Paid Upgrade.”
No worries—the license is free for up to 10 users, so you will NOT incur any charges.
Unfortunately, Confluence’s UI can be somewhat misleading. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our service desk.
Reload the page and click on “Free Trial” for the Karma entry. Again, you will NOT be charged, even after your trial expires, as the license is free for up to 10 users.
You are now on a free licensed version of Karma and will receive all future updates and maintenance for the app.
